SAMRA represents MR on the Services SETA Chamber Committee for Communication and Marketing Services


SAMRA Chief Executive Officer Ms Leonie Vorster has been appointed to the Services Sector Education and Training Authority (Services SETA) Chamber Committee until March 2018.

The Chamber Committee for Communication and Marketing Services act as an advisory body to assist the Executive Management of the Services SETA to carry out the mandate of the organisation by making recommendations on matters pertaining to the Communication and Marketing Services sub-sector, including:

  • assisting the Accounting Authority to ensure inputs into the Sector Skills Plan
  • identifying education and training needs
  • advising on the development of qualifications
  • advising on the relevant criteria for accreditations
  • advising on funding needs for training in the sub-sector
  • advising on monitoring and quality assuring criteria for training
  • making inputs into the Services SETA’s education and training policies
  • monitoring the development and implementation of learning programmes as well as other training
