Student Guide Nominations – SAMRA Annual Conference 2017

For the fifth consecutive year, we would like to invite a few promising students to act as Student Guides at the SAMRA Annual Conference that will take place on 17 and 18 May 2017 at the Protea Hotel by Marriot, Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa. It is a part of the SAMRA industry-level strategic talent management programme, created to facilitate entry into the market research industry by new talent to strengthen the ties between the industry and academia, and to encourage academic and student participation in the market research industry.

Selected students will have a unique chance to participate in the event as free of charge delegates, and can attend all the sessions, meet the speakers and delegates and network with senior market research professionals from South Africa and around the world. Accommodation is included, but the selected students will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs.

If you would like to nominate a few of your exceptional students for the selection process, please reply to this email. The deadline for nominations is 31 March 2017.

The nominees must be:

  • Engaged in a full or part-time under-graduate or graduate programme at an accredited Southern African higher education institution
  • Interested in a career in market research, or research-based advertising, marketing or consulting
  • Conversant in English
  • Personable, good communicators who are bright and enthusiastic
  • In any of the following fields of study: Marketing, Business Studies, Economics, Behavioural Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Data Analytics, Marketing Sciences
