When it comes to the health and safety of interviewers, one can never be too careful. Interviewers face many challenges in field, and are often in positions that could threaten their safety or health.
Although SAMRA does not prescribe operational practice regarding the health and safety of interviewers beyond what is legally required in various countries – all SAMRA members are required to adhere to all applicable laws in the countries where they operate – we would like to share some policy examples from that can provide guidance to interviewers and those who make use of their services:
- MRS/IQCS Guidelines for Interviewer Health and Safety (March 2002)
- The Social Research Association’s Code of Practice for the Safety of Social Researchers
Be safe out there!
