Role Purpose

The Insights Analyst collaborates with the Insights Consultant and the Senior Insights Consultant to generate insights. The ideal candidate must work well in a team environment, be able to understand, brief and conceptualize different possibilities to assist with the generation of insights. The candidate plays a critical role in business by supporting Insights Managers and relevant Insights functions to generate consumer, client, adviser, employee and market insights. This role has a strong focus on supporting the design and execution of robust research projects. This role allows for the establishment of skills in various methodological approaches and techniques, although a basic level of capability in insights methodologies is required.

The work you need to deliver

Internal processes:

Establish and promote processes and structures to enable business to make insights-driven decisions

  • Design, execute and present research projects based on a variety of different methodologies,

including traditional (qualitative and quantitative) and new research methodologies (neuromarketing).
•  Support the research team to provide actionable recommendations and key findings by

conducting analysis using various data sources
•  Create reports and presentation deliverables to clients to ensure insights meet business requirements
•  Collect and analyse quantitative research data from surveys and other data sources
•  Conduct qualitative research including focus groups, in-depth interviews, and ethnographic

observations with but not limited to consumers, shoppers, industry experts, or anyone relevant to

our research
•  Integrate data from multiple sources to create a narrative that drives action based on insights
•  Develop an understanding of MMI as a business, brands and offerings to ensure the effective delivery

of Insights in line with MMI’s strategic objectives.
•  Support the process of creating and enhancing value for consumers, clients and advisers

by understanding client needs and behaviour

Client Services:

Enable client centricity within area of responsibility       

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders
    •  Deliver on service level agreements applicable to clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed
    •  Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
    •  Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
    •  Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery
    •  Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards in order to ensure that clients receive appropriate advice and after sales service.
    •  Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes

     at optimising revenue

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Marketing or related social, business

or marketing science
•  At least 3 years’ experience in designing and executing research
•  Experience in Financial Services will be an advantage
•  Experience conducting market research or survey design/analysis
•  Experience with various research methods (quantitative and/or qualitative)
•  Solid understanding of basic research methods in the Social and Behavioural Sciences
