Criteria

Honorary Member In the opinion of the Chairman’s council has rendered or is rendering service of exceptional value to the profession, to marketing and to economic development, especially in South Africa.
Accredited Member SAR (SAMRA Accredited Researcher) certification is the premium level of recognition a practising researcher in this country may attain through SAMRA. Further details can be found at   www.samra.co.za/professionalpractice/accreditation/
Full Member In the opinion of the Chairman’s council has professional standing and recognised accomplishment in the field of marketing research. 

Is teaching, directing, supervising, planning, executing or implementing marketing research or presenting and interpreting its results.

Has been a SAMRA Assocaite member for at least one year.

Associate Member In the opinion of the Chairman’s council will contribute to the objects for which SAMRA was established. 

Is engaged in or has an active interest in marketing research.

Student Member Is undertaking a SAMRA Course or is a full-time student in a discipline relevant for the profession at any recognised tertiary educational establishment. 

Student membership ceases on completion of studies.

Field Member Does not qualify for membership under any of the above categories. 

Directly involved in fieldwork operations, either as a supervisor, interviewer or moderator.

Distance Member Outside South Africa
Corporate Member Is directly involved in the supply of marketing research services. 

Has at least one senior executive who is a SAMRA Full member for longer than one year.
