SAMRA INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION

The SAMRA International Communication portfolio is aimed at ensuring communication between SAMRA and other international professional associations, to play a role in the global research and business community.

The portfolio objectives are to:

  • Recruit, screen and interview new members for international professional organisations
  • Promote codes of good practice and professional standards
  • Promote international events and education programmes
  • Provide feedback on developments affecting the international research community
  • Identify partnerships in the Southern African region
  • Maximise media coverage and raise awareness of professional standards
  • Liaise with industry leaders, associations and other organisations for market related issues

SAMRA will be pursuing and/or solidifying relationships with the following international organisations to ensure that we strengthen SAMRA’s international profile:

SAMRA has a long-standing relationship with ESOMAR, the world organisation for enabling better research into markets, consumers and societies. This relationship has enabled SAMRA to contribute to the development of the ESOMAR Code of Conduct, and SAMRA has adopted the code locally. SAMRA also participates in the annual international industry survey run by ESOMAR, and we have received various types of support from ESOMAR for the annual SAMRA conference in recent years.
