The SAMRA Code of Conduct includes three parts: the international ICC/ESOMAR Code of Conduct and Guidelines adopted by SAMRA Members in 2017; localised SAMRA Guidelines; and the SAMRA Complaints Procedure.

SAMRA aims to ensure and maintain quality, professional research practice in Southern Africa. SAMRA members have to adhere to the SAMRA Code of Conduct.
