SAMRA Cape Town is hosting a 2 day Qualitative Techniques Training event with Jean Green.

The course is targeted for qualitative practitioners with up to 5 years experience or anyone who wants to hone their skills.

The course will cover:

  • Introduction to qualitative research
  • Distinguishing the best uses for qualitative vs. quantitative methods
  • Problems areas best suited to qualitative
  • Choice of methodologies e.g. focus groups versus in-depth interviews, mini-groups, paired interviews….
  • Planning and designing qualitative projects (briefing, proposal, timing, recruiting, etc.)

  • Moderating
  • Designing the discussion guide

  • Projective techniques
